Our Story
A modern utopia in a 17th century Château
In 2017 at the age of 26, French architect Jessica Angel was living in San Francisco at the Embassy, a life-changing intentional community. Back home in France, she saw the abandoned 17th century Château du Feÿ as a similar place of possibility. Crowdfunding with her family, she acquired the Château and took on the entrepreneurial challenge of turning the historic site into a place of gathering and a laboratory to rethink the world of tomorrow. A colourful 400 year history, scattered with French nobility, intellectual luminaries and notable patrons of the arts, make up the estate you see today. In the 1980s, the previous owners ran an acclaimed cooking school, but it lay empty for nearly a decade before Jessica and her family discovered it and turned it into a Château of Possibilities.
Today, the Château is a canvas to experiment with ways of living, gathering and connecting that can be a model for the future.
